Editorial Design | DREAMS Magazine

Dreams is a magazine issue that explains dreams scientifically. The design was inspired by hallucinations and abstract imagery, much like dreams.

I took on a minimalistic, exploratory aesthetic approach for this editorial project. This approach is evident in the index page's design, which is the foundation of the magazine's aesthetic.

The magazine is laid out like a small book and contains a compilation of online articles that explore the scientific basis of different dream types. The first half is titled "What are dreams, really?" and the second half is titled "Lucid Dreaming - A Virtual Reality."

This project gave me unconstrained creative freedom as an editor, graphic designer, and publisher. One of my first ventures into editorial design, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

What are dreams, really? When you dream, are you experiencing a different universe? The surreal, abstract characteristics of dreams served as inspiration for this title page's layout.

In this short magazine, I've selected a few articles from the Internet that offer scientific explanations for common types of dreams. The content collection phase of this project was so difficult that I now have a newfound appreciation for editors.
